In addition to our on-site services, we are able to offer highly cost effective Furnace Heat Treatments at our Wigan and Hartlepool locations. Our furnaces operate around the clock, 24 hours per day, seven days per week, in order to ensure maximum responsiveness and flexibility.
Heat Treatments
For over thirty years Thermal Hire has provided heat treatment services at it's furnace works in Wigan and Hartlepool for a variety of clients. In that time the company has developed an expertise in the industry and a reputation for reliability and commitment to finding solutions to complex requirements.
Through a combination of stringent quality management systems, fully automated controls and facilities which are capable of processing loads up to 100 tonnes at temperatures over 1300°C the company is able to meet the most technically exacting and challenging requirements.

WIGAN HEAT TREATMENT FACILITY
Thermal Hire head office is based at Wigan and is where the majority of the Management, Administration, Sales, Technical, Quality and Health and Safety departments are based.
Thermal Hire is currently engaged in further expansion by 'returning to its roots' in equipment manufacture.
We also carry out Heat Treatment Site Services, Equipment Hire, Equipment Manufacturing and Furnace Treatments at this facility.
HARTLEPOOL HEAT TREATMENT FACILITY
Our Hartlepool factory houses twenty two furnaces ranging in size from 2.5m x 1.2m x 1.2m to 15.2m x 4.6m x 3.0m.
Six of the furnaces are complimented by water and polymer quench facilities and have state-of-the-art automatic control for furnace operation and transfers.
We also have a 16m x 3m fully-enclosed shot-blasting unit and band-saw on site capable of cutting up to 600mm OD bar.
