High Velocity Gas Burner

The high velocity gas burner is an all-metal construction with the casing manufactured in stainless steel. It is lightweight, robust and suitable for high temperature application. Hence it is ideally suitable for a range of industrial heating applications and temperatures. The turndown ratio is up to 15:1 - this provides a high degree of control over the output temperature of the products of combustion.

The lightweight construction offers the portability to aid in the placement of equipment which is so important for temporary heating applications. When used for furnace applications the burner performance ensures a turbulent atmosphere - and therefore efficient heat transfer to the load or component, resulting in excellent temperature uniformity. Couple with the turndown ratio, control is possible over a wide range of atmosphere temperatures.

Each burner is fitted with a probe for intermittent spark ignition from a transformer energised by the sequence controller in the control box of the Gas Control Train.

A UV detector mounted on the burner operates in conjunction with the sequence controller and continuously monitors the flame.
